Faces in the Crowd: Westwood therapist works through the pain
People come to Christina Abbott to trade pain for peace.
They come in anxious and afraid, shouldering years of pain.
“My job is to support them and to be with them through their process of recovery. Muscles are my friends,” she said. “I have to work with them, not against them – and I need to give them what they need,”

Center Wins Reader's Choice Award
Four
Years!
The
Abbott Center is proud to be chosen for "Massage and Day Spa"
by readers of the Westwood Press (Townonline West Edition). We will
continue to work to provide the top quality therapies and wellness
offerings that have brought us this award. The true measure of our
success, however, is how well we respond to your needs and the needs
of our community. You have allowed us to grow from a private Neuromuscular
Therapy practice into a wellness center. Thank you so much! And
thank you to our wonderful staff. You make us who we are.
Chosen
in 2005 and 2007 as #1 Choice and in 2006 and 2008 as Honorable
Mention

Abbott
Center in The Boston Globe
The
Abbott Center was featured in an article in the Boston Globe Magazine
in the April 1st edition of the Calendar section. The authors came
in together for Hot Stone and Massage and wrote about their experience.
The Globe's interest in Hot Stone massage is part of a growing awareness
of this deeply relaxing form of therapy.

Pilates in The Boston Globe and
The Wall Street Journal
Pilates
is all the rage now, but many people are getting hurt because they're
going to poorly trained instructors or trying to do it with Videos
instead of getting lessons to be sure of practicing safely. The
Abbott Center is proud to have an Authentic Pilates instructor with
the very best training available and the highest level of certification
possible. In 2005 both newspapers published articles about this
issue. (Subscription fees are required to read archived articles.)
