Pilates Mat Classes

Pilates training is for the individual looking to achieve balanced, total body conditioning.  With an emphasis on the muscles of the body's center, or "powerhouse," The Pilates Method strengthens and stretches the whole body while teaching muscle control. A regular semester of 60-minute classes is 10 weeks long and progressive, starting more slowly to learn basics. Class size is limited to provide individual attention.

Mat Classes are held five mornings a week at 9:30 am and at privately arranged times for small groups in the classroom of the main building. Most classes accommodate a mixed level of student ability. There is a class in Fundamentals for beginners, those with restrictions and students who need to review.

The Winter Semester begins January 6th and continues through to March 21st and does not include the school vacation week.

Beginners are welcomed with a requirement of 2 private lessons at a 20% discount.

Each 10-Class Card costs $150 for the 10-Week Semester and is arranged by pre-registration for each day.

Students may come as a "drop-in" to any class on a space-available basis for $23 through a Pilates Teacher.

Click on Events and Offers in the sidebar above left for more information about Pilates Private lessons and small group classes.

Instructors: Melissa Hoch (Classical and Polestar Pilates), Dawn Snow (Classical Pilates), Lisa Carusone (Power and Classical Pilates), Sandy Williams (Power Pilates).

Stretching

Classes

Active Isolated Stretching Classes are held by request. Put a group of friends or fellow athletes together (minimum of 4 students).

The class is designed to teach the basics of stretching so that the active person can repeat the stretches outside of class. Each class will go over Active Isolated Stretches for the whole body with more detailed instruction on a featured area. Learning AIS in class or in personal appointments will prepare you to do the full routine on your own.
