  Classes at The Abbott Center
Pilates Classes

 

 

Pilates Classes are held by request. Put a group of friends or fellow athletes together (minimum of 4 students).

Pilates training is for the individual looking to achieve balanced, total body conditioning.  With an emphasis on the muscles of the body's center, or "powerhouse," The Pilates Method strengthens and stretches the whole body while teaching muscle control. Mat work is part of most lessons, but is taught specifically in these specialty classes.

Active Isolated Stretching Classes are held by request. Put a group of friends or fellow athletes together (minimum of 4 students).

The class is designed to teach the basics of stretching so that the active person can repeat the stretches outside of class. Each class will go over Active Isolated Stretches for the whole body with more detailed instruction on a featured area. Learning AIS in class or in personal appointments will prepare you to do the full routine on your own.
