Neuromuscular
Therapy
|
 |
Neuromuscular Therapy is the treatment of
chronic and acute pain in the muscles and joints caused by trigger
points, ischemic tissue and neurovascular entrapment. Specificity
both in the techniques applied and in the attention paid to each muscle
involved distinguish this effective therapy from other types of bodywork. |
| Neuromuscular Massage |
 |
Using both massage and NMT, the therapist will
combine deep tissue work with trigger point therapy in a variety of
ways depending on the needs of the client. The time can be spent either
focusing on a complaint or attending to the whole body, feeling for
areas of dysfunction, tension and pain. The therapist will treat the
body holistically, using the knowledge that NMT training and years
of experience brngs. |
Massage

|
 |
Our well-educated massage therapists are trained in a variety of
techniques. All of the therapists can
offer a focused treatment or a full-body massage and will adapt
technique, pressure and area of treatment to your requirements.
Each therapist has additional areas of interest and training. Ask
about deep tissue, hot stone massage, active isolated stretching,
pregnancy massage, underwater treatments, sports massage, aromatherapy
and reflexology. |
Hot Stone
Massage

treatment with heated stones is truly therapeutic, deeply relaxing
and profoundly healing. Come experience the magic of the stones...
|
| Energy Healing |
 |
All of our therapists believe in the importance
of balanced and properly charged energy systems in the creation of
healthy, pain-free bodies. One is a graduate of the 4-year program
at the Brennan School of Healing. A healing consists of a chelation
which balances and charges the chakras and energy field. It also includes
specific work to repair damage from physical or emotional factors.
The result is increased well-being and the ability to engage more
fully in your life. |
Pilates
|
 |
Imagine
having the figure of a dancer and the strength of an athlete; a
long and healthy body with beautiful posture and grace of movement
powerful, flexible and controlled. That's a Pilates body!
In
10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in 20 you'll see the difference,
in 30 you'll have a new body. Joseph Hubertus Pilates
Pilates
is taught as Solos, Duets or Trios on our Reformers and other pieces

Mind-Body Exercise |
 |
The
creation of a personalized exercise program to gain muscular strength,
balance, flexibility, mental focus, cardiovascular endurance and
functional ease with awareness of the mind-body connection is the
goal. All exercise disciplines can be applied to a home-based program.
Active Isolated Stretching
is the first step in the rehabilitation process and is the base
for every good fitness regime. Pre-and postsurgical conditions are
profoundly helped by working the deep connective tissue of the joints.
Athletes improve performance dramatically and those with repetitive
postures or movements find relief from the muscle strain.
Pilates sessions using
spring-resisted equipment builds core strength while conditioning
the entire body. It is expecially helpful for posture and back problems.
Yoga is time-honored for
its benefits. Therapeutic instruction is offered in private and
semi-private sessions for those with special needs including limited
flexibility, osteoporosis, stroke-related limitations, mental challenges,
cancer, and disabilities.
