Neuromuscular Therapy

Evaluation and treatment of chronic
and acute pain in muscles and joints, head and shoulders, neck and
back: Neuromuscular Therapy is built around specific treatment techniques
applied to dysfunctional myofacial tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments,
and their accompanying nerves). Muscle tension reduces blood flow
and contributes to a painful condition called 'ischemia'. Ischemic
tissue, if left untreated can develop 'trigger points,' sites of hyperactivity
and hypersensitivity which refer pain to other points in the body.
Nerves and blood vessels may also be entrapped or compressed by tight
muscles. The resulting chronic pain patterns can be reduced or eliminated
by using this very specific and effective therapy. |
