A beautiful tribute to the miracles that happen here at the Abbott Center. Thank you Alexandra.
"Here’s mine: When I first came to see Christina, it was 2005, and I had just (through force of will and the maximum dosage of several painkillers/steroid all anti-inflammatories) graduated college. I was scared because I was in so much pain and the doctors didn’t know why.
At first I was seeing her 2 to 3 times per week, as she treated nearly every part of my body. And, finally, I started to get better. I began the work of getting better.
Physically, and emotionally, because pain needs answers and there weren’t many, but Christina was always there to listen.
Christina has meant more to me than I can ever say. Today, I still deal with chronic pain and see Christina every three weeks, but it is thanks to her that I have the life I have today: that I work, that I got through my pregnancy and birth of my son, that I am raising him today. That day in 2005 began that journey and a very, very special relationship with this most amazing woman."
