The Abbott Center began in 1991 as a private practice dedicated to the hands-on treatment of chronic pain. Inspired by a childhood desire to help patients with diseased muscles lead a more normal life, Christina Abbott is fulfilling her dream through her thriving treatment center.

Herniated Disc.
Yikes! It is a real bummer. It means a lot of pain. Sometimes in strange places with weird numbness.
Do you know why discs become herniated? It's the pressure of the vertebrae. It's like a jelly sandwich with too much jelly. The bread is the vertebrae and the jelly is the disc. Squish that sandwich and out comes the jelly. Put too much pressure on your spine (from stress, sitting all day, shoveling, the list goes on..) and a disc may herniate.
